This special piece contains carved ancient Dilmun seals and symbols, two proud leopards are attached to the neck of the vase and are almost standing guard. This design is based on ancient Dilmun pottery, some of which dates back to the 3rd millennium BC. The design used as inspiration for this piece was excavated from an archaeological site in Bahrain. This unique vase is a replica depicting the same symbols, seals, shape and handles as the original. Care and attention to detail have been used to replicate this wonderful piece.
The symbols depict life scenes during the Dilmun era in Bahrain, rotate the vase to discover each symbol and seal. The meaning of the symbols which surround the neck of the vase, translates to “Dilmun, the Giver of Life”.
