These large pottery lanterns are hand-carved with intricate carved cut outs. This pottery lantern is ideal for indoors or outdoors. The carved diamond shaped cut-outs are hand carved while the clay is still semi-wet. Each piece is made by hand. These large lanterns would look great beside your front door or in your garden. For any DIY enthusiasts, these items can also be converted to lamps if you so wish. The height is 17.8 inches and the circumference is 33 inches. Smaller versions (10 inches) are also available.
The base is open so we recommend putting a small candle under the open base at night to watch the magic happen as the shapes transfer around the room or garden. Bahrain pottery has a distinctive appearance with the focus on shape and geometric designs.
