A little fact about Lapis Lazuli and why it’s so special. Lapis was prized in ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome and China. Lapis was considered a mystical stone by the ancient Egyptians, and it featured heavily in Egyptian Jewelry, amulets and scarabs. Ground into a powder, this cobalt blue powder was used as eyeshadow.
