Afghani Brown & White Agate Pendant Necklace – Antique

This pendant necklace consists of a large oval brown agate stone.

The agate stone and enclosure was manufactured by hand in Afghanistan, we have added a silver mix beaded chain. The agate stone enclosure is made of 60% silver to metal. We have matched the added necklace which also consists of a 60% mix of silver to metal. The necklace is a beaded design and is from Italy.

A little fact: Agate takes millions of years to form and usually begin within volcanic rocks. Afghani Agate is considered to be the best in the world due to the clarity and variety of colours, which are pretty spectacular.

How can you tell if your agate stone is genuine, if the reverse side of the agate is not enclosed in any metal, when you hold the stone to the light, it should be translucent, allowing light to pass through the stone.
